There’s something timeless about old European architecture, and this shoot with Anita and Robbie in Austria was nothing short of cinematic. Set against the backdrop of a historic 18th-century palace, the after-wedding session brought together elegance, emotion, and a deep sense of story.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t going to be your average couple’s session. Anita wore a flowing minimalist silk gown that moved like poetry through the palace corridors, while Robbie brought sharp, clean style that contrasted perfectly against the textured stone and gilded walls.
As a wedding photographer who usually shoots in Wiltshire and across the South West UK, I’m used to beautiful venues — but this location took things to a whole new level. The soft natural light pouring in through tall windows, the intricate staircases, and the centuries-old character of the rooms gave us a dreamlike setting to create something truly special.

What We Captured — and Why
The Fountain
I had them walk past the water a few times — nothing posed, just movement and space. The light bounced perfectly off the stone, and it added a bit of scale to the shots without needing to say much. Felt cinematic without trying too hard.
The Doors
You can’t not use giant palace doors. Framing them in the open doorway gave this great contrast between the structure and the softness of the couple. Again — no staging, just letting them be themselves and giving them space.
The Vineyards & Tree Walks
We wandered through the vines and into the trees as the sun dropped lower. No instructions. No forced moments. Just proper calm after the chaos of the wedding day. These are always the moments couples end up loving most — when they don’t even notice I’m shooting.
